Called to serve...

Rich & Nancy Randall have received a call to serve an 18-month agricultural service mission on the LDS Church’s Deseret Ranches in Florida south of Orlando. Rich will be working as a water resources engineer supporting water supply and storm water quality improvement projects including the permitting and design of a new 10,000 acre drinking water reservoir. The ranch property ranks as the nation's top cattle producer and cradles the future water supply for thirsty Cities across three counties in Central Florida. Originally acquired by the Church with the help of Leo Ellsworth from Mesa in the 1950’s, Deseret Ranches covers nearly 500 sq. miles and includes a 44,000 head cow & calf ranching operation with several thousand acres of citrus, sod and potato farms.

They reported in SLC for one-day missionary training on January 7th and are now making the long drive to Florida. Rich & Nancy look forward to serving together on the ranch, assisting with the work in the Orlando Temple and representing the Church in public relations activities. Nancy is excited about driving the tour bus, accompanying Rich to the remote regions of the ranch and using her Spanish while working at the Temple. 

Rich & Nancy have felt the Lord’s hand in preparing them to serve a mission during the past year and they know that it is the will of the Lord for them to serve at this time.
